Hardwood Floors Stair Refinishing near me

Our equipment was designed to sand wood floor, flat areas only. We cannot refinish anything vertical, thus the stringers (sides) and risers (back) are not included. Prices are for stair treads & nosings only. The best way to understand this is: "If your foot physically steps on it...we can do it!" otherwise we are limited and can't guarantee professional results.

Closed Stairs........................... $40.00 per step.
Wall both sides.

One Side Open........................ $50.00 per step.
Wall on one side and spindles on the other. When spindles are present, we must get around them by hand. It creates much additional work and commands a premium. Please inform us if there are more than 2 spindles on each step as additional charges may apply.

Two Sides Open...................... $70.00 per step.
Spindles on both sides.

Bird Cage.............................$90.00 each.
Sometimes on the 1st step...5 or more spindles in a circular pattern around a post. Commonly referred to as a Volute!

If your upper hallway has additional spindles, sometimes overlooking the foyer or family room:  Add $5.00 for each spindle.  The space between the spindles and the bullnosing must be done by hand and commands a premium.

Pickling, Pastels, True Black colors are priced per job individually. 

***Spindles on stairs and along hallways present a challenge because the floor area in-between them must be done with a scraper by hand.  It sometimes is very difficult to achieve the best results, we do our best but cannot guarantee to match the quality of a sanding machine without removal of the spindles.
